(Aug. 21) – The State Bar of Texas recently announced that it has won a national award from the American Bar Association for its Texas Minority Counsel Program (TMCP).
The State Bar received one of three ABA Partnership Awards during a ceremony at the ABA’s Annual Meeting in New York. The Missouri Bar and the South Carolina Bar also were honored.
The ABA Partnership Program recognizes bar association projects directed at increasing the participation and advancement of diverse lawyers.
TMCP, created in 1993, aims to increase opportunities for minority and women attorneys who provide legal services to corporate and government clients, and expose those organizations to the legal talent of diverse attorneys, according to its mission statement.
