TBLS Names William Frank Carroll Board Chair

July 31, 2018 Brooks Igo

(July 31) – The Texas Board of Legal Specialization recently appointed Colleyville lawyer William Frank Carroll as board chair.

The TBLS is authorized by the Supreme Court of Texas and certifies attorneys in 24 specific areas of law and paralegals in seven specific areas.

Carroll, an appellate attorney, will serve a three-year term as chair of the TBLS board, which oversees the administration of the Board Certification program, including the organization’s finances, and works to enhance the value of Board Certification and increase public awareness of TBLS.

The TBLS also announced three new board members – Tina Amberboy, executive director of the Texas Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families at the Supreme Court of Texas; Diane Dillard, a Houston real estate lawyer; and Lisa Brown, a solo oil and gas attorney in Houston who worked in-house at Occidental and Burlington Resources earlier in her career.
