The Texas Lawbook is proud to announce that our publication has hit and passed a remarkable milestone: 6,000 paid subscribers.
Thanks to a surge in new subscriptions during the past four months, the number of paying readers has jumped more than 30 percent this year. The total number of paid subscribers to The Texas Lawbook now stands at more than 6,300 – about 1,100 of them are corporate in-house lawyers.
“When we started the publication 30 months ago, we had no readers, no advertisers, no followers whatsoever,” says Texas Lawbook founder and senior writer Mark Curriden.

“We focused on writing unique and substantive articles focusing exclusively on business lawyers in Texas with the theory that people would want this kind of sophisticated content,” he says. “We are so thankful to those who have supported us.”
The Texas Lawbook received a huge boost by partnering with The Dallas Morning News, which regularly publishes articles on business law from The Texas Lawbook. Since November 2011, The Dallas Morning News has published more than 100 articles written by Texas Lawbook journalists. The Dallas Morning News now relies on The Texas Lawbook to handle all of its business law-related coverage in Texas.
In December, the Houston Chronicle also started printing articles from The Texas Lawbook. To date, the Chronicle has published nearly two-dozen Texas Lawbook stories.
Combined, Texas Lawbook articles published in print and online by The Dallas Morning News and the Houston Chronicle mean that more than one million readers, including prominent leaders in business and government, are accessing our content.
