Thompson Coe Announces Largest New Partner Class in Firm History

(Sept. 11) – Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons recently announced the largest new partner class in the Dallas firm’s history.

Thirteen of the 14 newly-minted partners are based in Texas. The non-Texas attorney practices in Los Angeles.

Four of the new partners are based in Houston.

Christopher Avery, a South Texas College of Law graduate, focuses his practice on commercial coverage and property matters involving allegations of bad faith.

Christopher Frazier defends companies and individuals in personal injury, wrongful death, negligence, deceptive trade practices, premises liability and products liability matters. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.

Stephanie Krueger’s practice focuses on defending claims for premises liability, commercial automobile accidents, products liability, dram shop, and industrial accidents involving property damage, personal injury and wrongful death.

Molly Pela, a St. Mary’s University School of Law alumna, concentrates her practice on commercial and industrial accident claims, transportation injuries, Dram Shop actions, and premises liability claims of property damages, personal injury and wrongful death.

Nine of the newly-promoted attorneys work out of the firm’s Dallas headquarters.

Alex Blue is a Baylor Law alumnus who represents insurance carriers in contractual and extra-contractual litigation and defends individuals and companies in lawsuits involving personal injuries and catastrophic property damage.

Stephen Carter’s litigation practice includes general negligence, premises liability, products liability, construction defects, catastrophic injury, contractual disputes, property damage claims, personal injury claims and deceptive trade practices. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Cassie Dallas is in the firm’s appellate section and has argued cases before the Second and Fifth Courts of Appeal. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.

Brandt Johnson, a South Texas College of Law graduate, is a former senior in-house counsel for a regional insurance carrier. He is in the firm’s insurance litigation and coverage section.

Chantel Lee is a member of the firm’s labor and employment section, where she handles cases involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII and the Texas Labor Code. She earned her law degree from the University of Texas.

Ashley Mason, a graduate of SMU Dedman School of Law, focuses her practice on complex insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims arising under commercial general liability, professional errors and omissions, property, and excess and umbrella liability coverage.

Jon Paul Melton concentrates his trial practice on representing clients in the commercial transportation, construction, product manufacturers, property ownership, and oil field services sectors. He is an alumnus of the South Texas College of Law.

Leslie Richardson received her law degree from Texas Tech and advises clients on litigation and insurance defense involving personal injury, construction defect, wrongful death, premises liability and commercial disputes.

Christopher Rigler’s litigation practice includes professional liability defense, trucking company defense, products liability defense, construction defect defense and appellate matters.
