(April 27) – Former Baker Botts partners Kevin Jordan, Walter Lynch and Michael Cancienne announced this week that they have launched their own Houston litigation boutique.
The firm – named Jordan, Lynch & Cancienne – also includes Amir Halevy and Susan Thomas.
Jordan says he saw an opportunity to work together as a small firm to serve clients more flexibly.
“We are former big firm lawyers that are not just litigators, but real trial lawyers,” he said. “I put our trial practice and experience in the courtroom up against anyone.”
The new commercial litigation shop will focus on products liability cases and disputes involving construction, trade secrets and catastrophic personal injury claims.
The firm is currently representing B R Tank as a plaintiff in a “significant” environmental case.
Jordan predicts that there will be an increase in construction litigation connected to the “construction boom” of petrochemical plants in Texas and Louisiana.
