(March 18) – Thompson & Knight announced its firm leaders yesterday.
John Cohn, Greg Curry, Mark Sloan, Wesley Williams, Roger Aksamit and Luis Gomar are stepping into new leadership roles.
Aksamit, a corporate partner focusing on energy matters, will lead the firm’s Houston office.
Gomar has been appointed office leader in Mexico City. He focuses his practice on cross-border energy transactions.
Dallas partner and Texas Tech University School of Law graduate Wesley Williams will serve as the firm’s corporate and securities practice group leader.
Sloan, a Dallas partner and SMU Dedman School of Law graduate, will lead the firm’s real estate and banking practice group.
Curry steps into the helm of the firm’s trial practice. He is based in Dallas and is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.
Cohn, a University of Texas School of Law graduate, will lead the firm’s tax practice group. He is in the firm’s Dallas office.
David Bennett (Bankruptcy and Restructuring), Anthony Campiti (Employment and Labor), James McKellar (Finance), James Morriss III (Government and Regulatory), Wilson Jones (Healthcare), Bruce Sostek and Jane Politz Brandt (Intellectual Property), Andrew Derman (International Energy) and Richard Hemingway Oil and Gas) will continue leading their practice groups.
James Morriss III (Austin), J. Holt Foster III (Dallas) and Michael Sheehan (Fort Worth) will resume heading up their offices.
