(June 20) – The Texas chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates named Fish & Richardson’s Tom Melsheimer its 2014 Trial Lawyer of the Year. He received the award on June 7 at TEX-ABOTA’s Annual Awards Dinner in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
“I am humbled and honored to be named Texas Trial Lawyer of the Year,” Melsheimer, the managing principal of Fish’s Dallas office, in a statement. “I have had the good fortune to work on some challenging and important cases during my career. To be recognized for my work over the years by the very best trial lawyers in Texas is a unique honor for which I will always be grateful.”
Melsheimer was lead counsel for Mark Cuban in the Dallas billionaire’s insider trading trial against the SEC. Cuban was cleared of all charges by a federal jury in October.
