(Dec. 5) – Orrick announced Monday that Houston white collar expert Chris Flood has joined the firm as a partner.
Flood is the 41st lawyer to join Orrick’s Houston office, which opened in 2016. He left Flood & Flood, a law firm he founded with his brothers nearly 20 years ago, for a “new challenge” and platform.
Flood’s clients have included executives accused of crimes in the Enron and Stanford Financial scandals; prominent Mexican nationals fighting extradition for alleged money laundering and RICO violations; and defendants in the largest-ever Internet gambling prosecution. He has also represented oil and gas industry clients in the U.S. and Latin America in investigations and civil matters.
Earlier this year, Flood was named to the Texas Ethics Commission.
