We Requested SCOTX Financial Disclosure Forms. Here’s What They Show

Gifted flights, conference expenses and stock holdings in major corporations are among the things Texas Supreme Court justices disclosed on personal financial statement forms filed last year.

Texas is one of 24 states where such judicial financial data is not published online, and so The Texas Lawbook filed an open records request for the forms in May. Four of the justices requested extensions. The Lawbook obtained the rest of the forms in July.
