August 8, 2025 Brooks Igo

Womble Bond Dickinson recently added veteran construction litigation partner Robert N. Hancock, Jr. to its Houston office.

Hancock practiced for the last eight years at Munsch Hardt, where he was a leader in its construction practice. He represents stakeholders across the industry, including owners, general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, suppliers, design professionals and material providers.

Prior to his legal career, which also included 11 years at Coats Rose, Hancock spent several years in construction management roles, contributing to commercial, heavy highway, power, petrochemical, and industrial process projects at companies such as H.B. Zachry, W.S. Bellows and Austin Commercial.

“As the chair of the Construction Section of the Houston Bar Association and a member of the Associated General Contractors of Texas Houston Area Associated Builders and Contractor’s state legislative drafting and review committees, Bob has deep knowledge of the laws and regulations impacting the construction industry in and around Texas. Bob enhances our ability to tackle complex disputes and transactions across the construction and commercial sectors in Texas and beyond,” Lisa Rushton, a co-leader of Womble’s Business Litigation Practice Group, said in a statement.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Hancock’s construction dispute practice spans contract disputes, construction defect claims, delay, acceleration and disruption claims, construction related insurance coverage, bond claims, construction liens, personal injury claims and environmental and toxic tort matters.
