Womble Adds Energy Litigation Partner in Houston

June 5, 2019 Brooks Igo

Womble Bond Dickinson announced this week that it has continued its expansion in Houston with the addition of energy litigation partner Liz Klingensmith.

Klingensmith, who was previously at Blank Rome, represents clients in Texas, Oklahoma and North Dakota in disputes arising from oil and gas leases and assignments, joint operations, mergers and acquisitions and other matters. She is the ninth attorney to join Womble’s nascent Houston office, which opened in January.

“I wanted to be part of something new. I didn’t know what that was until I met Chris Jones, Jeff Whittle, Tony Guerino and many others at Womble,” Klingensmith said in a statement.

“What I discovered through those meetings, is an incredible law firm well-positioned to impact Houston’s energy sector with a dynamic and innovative team of lawyers.”

Klingensmith is Womble’s second lateral hire in Houston since February, when the firm recruited energy litigation partner Guerino from Foley Gardere.
