Houston litigator Jamie Alan Aycock has moved his practice from Kirkland to Yetter Coleman, the litigation boutique announced Tuesday.
Aycock, a partner, practices complex commercial litigation and restructuring-related litigation, brings experience in contract disputes, fraud and business torts. He also is versed in patent litigation and administrative law.
Aycock said founding partner Paul Yetter’s “legendary reputation” is what first attracted him to the firm.
“I have heard for years about the culture he (Yetter) has worked to create for the firm,” Aycock told The Texas Lawbook. “Really, I’m flattered to have the chance to work to continue this legacy and be part of building one of the great litigation boutiques. I especially was attracted to Yetter Coleman’s consistently solid reputation for excellence, professionalism and collegiality. All three are essential.”
Previous matters Aycock has handled include serving as lead or co-lead trial counsel on the chapter 11 bankruptcies of Extraction Oil & Gas, McDermott International, Exco and Gastar Exploration.
“We are excited to welcome Jamie to the firm, said partner Tim McConn , a member of Yetter Coleman’s management committee. “His deep experience in handling complex disputes both inside and outside of the courtroom allows us to continue delivering high value to our clients and is a wonderful complement to our talented roster. We look forward to practicing with Jamie for many years to come.”
Aycock’s move marks the third hire for Yetter Coleman in March alone. Earlier this month, the firm announced the arrival of senior counsel Katie Tipper-McWhorter from Greenberg Traurig and associate Heriberto Montalvo from Munsch Hardt.
