Gardere Expands Board, Adds Leadership Roles

June 21, 2013 Mark Curriden

Dallas-based Gardere has expanded from a five-person board to a nine-person board and has elected Holland O’Neil as chairwoman and Eric Blumrosen as vice chair. Firm Managing Partner Steve Good will continue to serve as chief executive officer.

O’Neil, a graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law, said in a statement issued by the firm that the new management structure will support the firm’s goals for future growth in profitability, geographic expansion and number of attorneys.

“Each of our existing offices is important as we move forward in responding to client needs and opportunities,” Blumrosen, a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, said in a statement. “It’s also important to recognize that each Gardere office has a number of strengths to build on. In particular, this change will allow me to focus on our well-regarded energy industry expertise in Houston, which will continue to be emphasized and supported at the highest level.”

Both O’Neil and Blumrosen will maintain their full-time legal practice.

O’Neil, a partner in the firm’s Dallas office, focuses her practice on bankruptcies, restructurings, and workouts, acquisitions of distressed assets and bankruptcy litigation.

Blumrosen, a partner in Gardere’s Houston office, focuses his practice on corporate, securities, financing, mergers and acquisitions, workout, and private equity matters.
