Winston & Strawn has hired Banee Pachuca as a partner in the Houston office, the firm announced, as a part of its transactions department. Her focus will be healthcare.
“Banee brings unique capabilities to our transactions and health care team in Houston and will be integral to our continued growth,” said Mike Blankenship, Houston office managing partner in a news release. “We’re pleased to have her on board and look forward to her contributions in this critical sector.”
Winston & Strawn has been expanding its healthcare transactional practice and Pachuca is the latest arrival. New York partner Justin Levy was appointed co-chair of the firm’s healthcare & life sciences group earlier this year.
The addition of Pachuca delivers her extensive experience representing “private equity and financial investors in health care transactions, as well as hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, and large physician groups in M&A, divestitures, joint ventures” and more for Winston & Strawn.
“I’ve worked with a number of Winston partners on previous transactions, and the firm has an outstanding reputation,” Pachuca said in the release, which noted that she’ll focus “on health care law, including transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters.”
“Banee is an experienced attorney with a clear understanding of the growing complexity and changing dynamics of today’s health care industry,” said transactions department co-chairs Tim Kincaid and Brad Vaiana in the release. “Her impressive combination of M&A, regulatory, and health care experience strengthens our bench and will benefit our clients as they navigate challenges in the active marketplace for health care transactions.”
Pachuca graduated from the University of Houston in 2007 and received her law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2012.
