Spencer Fane Adds IP Leader from Wick Phillips

Dallas intellectual property litigation partner Brett Pinkus has lateraled to Spencer Fane from Wick Phillips, where he led the firm’s IP group.

Pinkus practiced at Wick Phillips for five and a half years. Prior to that, he was at Friedman, Suder & Cooke for close to 10 years.

Pinkus concentrates on patent, trademark and trade secret litigation, including inter partes reviews and trademark cancellations. He also handles patent preparation and prosecution, patent opinions, portfolio development, acquisitions and licensing and technology agreements.

“Brett’s blend of technical knowledge, creative legal acumen, and strong litigation skills will be a valuable addition to our innovative team of IP attorneys,” said Jason Cross, managing partner of Spencer Fane’s Dallas office, in a statement.

Pinkus’ casework spans numerous industries with a specific focus on mechanical, medical, electrical and computer technologies.
