Mac Marshall, an energy partner, has joined Troutman Pepper Locke in Houston from Norton Rose Fulbright. He will focus his practice on upstream and midstream energy transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, commercial agreements and energy financings, according to a news release.
Before joining Troutman Pepper Locke, Marshall practiced at Norton Rose Fulbright for nearly four years, where he advised clients on upstream and midstream energy transactions, joint ventures and financings. He represented clients in acquisitions and divestitures of producing and non-producing oil and gas properties, as well as the purchase, sale, construction and financing of pipelines, gathering systems and storage facilities. He also advised lenders and borrowers on reserve-based lending, mezzanine financings, and revolving and term credit facilities. Before joining Norton Rose in November 2022, Marshall was an energy partner at Porter Hedges for nearly 12 years. Prior to that, he was an associate at Thompson & Knight for five years.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Marshall advises clients on upstream and midstream energy transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, project development and energy financings. His practice includes negotiating commercial midstream agreements, including gathering, processing and treating agreements, hedging arrangements, NAESB contracts and seismic data licenses. He also advises lenders and borrowers on a range of energy financing transactions and is board certified in oil, gas and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, according to the release.
