(March 20) – JC Penney’s general counsel and executive vice president Janet Dhillon has left the Plano-based retailer after more than six years on the job.
JC Penny officials announced Dhillon’s departure, which was effective today, in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
A member of the General Counsel Forum and a former lawyer at Skadden Arps, Dhillon was the general counsel and chief corporate compliance officer at Phoenix-based US Airways, which merged with Fort Worth-based American Airlines two years ago.
Efforts to contact Dhillon on Friday were unsuccessful.
JC Penney announced that its deputy general counsel, Janet Link, has been named the interim GC until a replacement is named.
