(Nov. 18) – Hunton & Williams announced yesterday that David R. McAtee, the father of AT&T general counsel David McAtee II, has joined the firm as special counsel. He will office in Dallas and Austin.
McAtee was previously at Akin Gump. He focuses his practice on complex business litigation matters and regulatory investigations.
The University of Texas School of Law graduate has defended “Big Four” accounting firms, developed programs for antitrust compliance and represented clients in matters involving the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and antitrust divisions of state attorneys general offices.
“David’s decades-long and distinguished litigation career gives him a wealth of experience and insights to share, making him the perfect advocate to help us guide our clients or to serve as a key strategist to find solutions to difficult litigation issues,” Patrick Mitchell, Hunton’s Texas offices managing partner, said in a statement.
