Dallas Judge Jails Juror for Contempt

The Dallas Morning News

(Aug. 28) – Texas District Judge Gena Slaughter in Dallas held a juror in contempt of court and ordered him jailed for 48 hours for “an attempt to avoid jury service.” Criminal defense attorney Martin Lenoir convinced the judge to release the juror after 24 hours.
