(Nov. 30) – Baker McKenzie recently named a new managing partner of its Dallas office after Michael Santa Maria was appointed to chair the firm’s North America International Commercial Practice Group.

Robert Albaral takes the reins of the Dallas office from Santa Maria. Albaral has been with the firm for 30 years and has previously served as managing partner of the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices.

Albaral, a SMU Dedman alum, is also the current chair of the firm’s North America Tax Controversy Sub-Practice Group and sits on the firm’s Global Tax Disputes Resolution Steering Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
