K&L Gates Adds Security Lawyer to Open Houston Office

K&L Gates has opened a Houston office, its fourth in Texas, with the addition of a corporate partner from Fulbright & Jaworski.
Charles Strauss, who had been a partner at Fulbright since 1991 and served as head of the firm’s securities practice group, brings with him 30 years of experience advising clients based in the oil and gas, aerospace, trucking, and financial services industries.
Strauss focuses his practice on advising public and private companies and their boards on such matters as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; public and private offerings of securities; antitakeover bids; corporate restructurings; stock purchases and sales; change of control agreements; joint ventures; international law; and insider trading issues.
