(Feb. 10) – Two Texas lawyers are among the 20 winners of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) “Top Lawyers Under 40 Award” for 2016, announced on Monday.
Richard “Rich” Rosalez, senior director of litigation at Samsung Electronics America, is based in Dallas.
He is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s litigation work and responses to regulatory investigations. Prior to joining Samsung in 2011, Rosalez practiced at Jones Day in Dallas and Latham & Watkins in New York.
Emma Mata is a litigation partner at Seyfarth Shaw in Houston. She focuses her trial practice on representing clients in the energy and healthcare arenas.
The University of Houston Law Center graduate leads her firm’s Houston office Diversity Action Team and Women’s Network. She is also active in representing children in immigration proceedings through the Kinds in Need of Defense organization and was named its Pro Bono Attorney of the Month in February 2012 for her work in helping three young siblings find care and protections in the U.S.
