V&E and Baker Botts Lead Select Energy’s Securities Offering

(Dec. 23) – Gainesville-based Select Energy Services turned to Texas’ two most prominent energy law firms to advise the company in its private placement of 16.1 million shares of its Class A-1 common stock for aggregate gross proceeds of $322 million, which was completed Thursday.

Select Energy, which describes itself as a leading provider of “total water solutions to the unconventional oil and gas industry,” hired Baker Botts and Vinson & Elkins to advise the company in its securities offering.
V&E partners David Oelman and Alan Beck co-led the transaction. Other V&E lawyers involved in the offering were James Brown, Raleigh Wolfe, Anne Peetz, Keith Fullenweider, James Garrett and Leonard Wood.
The Baker Botts legal team was led by Hillary Holmes. Baker Botts lawyers John Kaercher, Sarah Berens, Jennifer Gasser, James Chenoweth and Jared Meier also advised on the transaction.
