Smyser Kaplan & Veselka has started construction on a new office space in downtown Houston at 717 Texas.
The Houston litigation boutique, which is currently a tenant at 700 Louisiana Street, will make the move to the 28th floor at 717 Texas in August. SKV will occupy 27,795 square feet – an increase of more than 5,000 square feet from their current digs.
Firm leaders say data protection and technological improvements were key in driving the move to a new office.
“This move gives SKV the kind of security and technological access which clients expect today”, SKV partner and founder Craig Smyser said in a statement. “To protect our clients’ data and documents, no person can take an elevator to SKV’s floor without preclearance, and there will no uninvited persons on our floor. Our data storage facilities are state of the art.”
