Fulbright Leads $1.4 billion Real Estate Deal For EPN Group

Fulbright & Jaworski real estate partner Jane Snoddy Smith of Austin is representing EPN Group, a subsidiary of Elbit Imaging, in its sale of 46 retail shopping centers for $1.4 billion.

The buyers are private equity firm Blackstone Group, which is represented by New York-based Simpson Thatcher , and DDR Group, which is represented by Jones Day lawyers in Chicago and Cleveland.

The 20 shopping centers are located in 20 states and have tenants such as PetSmart, T.J. Maxx, and Kohl’s.

The transaction is expected to close by June.
