Texas Appleseed Picks AT&T GC David McAtee for 2019 Good Apple Award

June 19, 2019 Brooks Igo

Texas Appleseed has announced that AT&T Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel David McAtee II will receive the public interest justice center’s prestigious J. Chrys Dougherty Good Apple Award.

McAtee will be honored at the Good Apple Dinner on Nov. 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin.

Appointed chair of the AT&T Foundation in 2018, McAtee has “elevated and furthered AT&T’s commitment to pro bono,” according to Texas Appleseed’s announcement. He also serves as a commissioner for the Texas Access to Justice Commission.

Texas Appleseed also pointed out, in recognizing McAtee, AT&T’s commitment to serving the homeless community through its Believe Dallas program. This aligns with a key initiative of Texas Appleseed’s – to help youth experiencing homelessness.
