After practicing for more than a decade at two boutique law firms, Dallas lawyer Anthony Magee has launched his own law firm focusing on securing and protecting his clients intellectual property assets.
Magee was most recently at the Ross IP Group; prior to that, he led the intellectual property section at Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail for nearly a decade before the commercial litigation firm closed last year. His new firm is called Magee Legal PLLC.
An Oxford-educated former English barrister, Magee moved to Dallas in 1993 to join McKool Smith, where he practiced for 15 years. The seasoned litigator represents clients in proceedings in federal courts and before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board, trademark applications in the Trademark Office and petitions at the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board.
“This was the right time for me to gain some well-deserved freedom to guide and counsel with entrepreneurs and established firms in North Texas, as well as support the legal teams at other firms in niche areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights and complex technologies,” Magee said in an announcement.
Magee’s clients represent a variety of businesses and services including telecommunications, media publishing, technology education, aviation, business management software and technologies, medical devices, tissue engineering, semiconductors and health care management systems.
