Houston Boutique Adds Former 14th COA Staff Attorney as a Partner

Houston trial and appellate law firm Wright Close & Barger announced three new hires this week, including one partner.

James Marrow, a former staff attorney at the 14th Court of Appeals, lateraled over from Hogan & Hogan, another appellate law firm in Houston. The South Texas College of Law graduate is the 20th partner and 28th attorney overall at Wright Close & Barger.

Elizabeth Turco and Michael Hurta have joined the firm as associates from Dobrowski, Larkin & Johnson and Berg & Androphy, respectively. Hurta clerked for Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman and Judge George P. Kazen of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, who retired from the federal bench in 2018.

With the new additions, Wright Close & Barger has 28 attorneys.
