Perkins Coie Continues Growing Austin Office

March 3, 2020 Brooks Igo

A few weeks after announcing its entry into Austin, Perkins Coie has recruited a fourth partner to join its new office.

Healthcare partner Zubin Khambatta was previously at Husch Blackwell. He represents leading hospital systems, public hospitals and physician group practices in complex reimbursement, regulatory and transactional matters.

Khambatta started his career at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, where he practiced for five years. He moved to Austin in 2014 to join Gjerset & Lorenz.

“In addition to being an emerging hub for the technology and startup sectors, Austin is also an up-and-coming center for healthcare innovation,” Bill Malley, Perkins Coie’s firmwide managing partner, said in a statement.

“Zubin’s move to our firm’s newest regional office, coupled with our fast-growing Austin presence, emphasizes the momentum we’re building in Texas and our commitment to providing superior client service across all industries in the region.”
