Perkins Coie recently announced that Dallas corporate lawyer Jill Louis, who has extensive in-house experience, has joined the office as a partner.
Louis – who has led or worked in the legal departments at FleetPride, FedEx Office and HQ Global Workspaces – was most recently at K&L Gates. She is the sixth attorney to join Perkins Coie in Texas this year, following the opening of the firm’s Austin office and addition of Dallas attorney John Treviño.
Dean Harvey, managing partner of the Perkins Coie Dallas office, said adding Louis “aligns with our ongoing strategy of expanding our corporate offering in Dallas to support our growing technology and privacy capabilities.”
Randy Bridgeman, co-chair of Perkins Coie’s corporate & securities practice, added that Louis’ in-house experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership qualities make her a natural fit. He specifically pointed to her background in M&A and representing private equity-backed healthcare, infrastructure, and technology companies.
Louis received her law degree from Harvard. In addition to her law practice, Louis is a director of the AT&T Performing Arts Center, an executive board member of KERA and a member of the board of trustees for Howard University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and business.
