Bowman and Brooke Announces Dallas Leadership

February 22, 2013 Mark Curriden

Bowman and Brooke has elected Kurt Kern as managing partner and J. Karl Viehman as co-managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office. They will both serve a one-year term, which began Feb. 1.

Kern, a 1984 graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law, joined the firm in 2011 from Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer to establish the firm’s first Texas office as managing partner. He focuses his practice on defending corporations and manufacturers and distributors of auto, truck, agricultural and other components in high-stakes product liability matters, many that frequently deal with catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths.

Viehman, a 1985 graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law, focuses his practice on defending U.S. and foreign corporations in product liability, commercial, toxic torts, personal injury, warranty, breach of contract, general negligence, securities and employment cases.

Bowman and Brooke has two offices (Austin and Dallas) in Texas. The Dallas office has 16 lawyers.
