Weil Partner Recognized by Texas Diversity Council

March 19, 2013 Mark Curriden

Angela Fontana, co-head of Weil’s U.S. banking and finance practice and a partner in the firm’s Dallas office, has been named a 2013 Most Powerful & Influential Woman by the Texas Diversity Council. This marks the fourth consecutive year that a Weil attorney has been honored with this award.

The award recognizes Texas women who provide leadership excellence in the public and/or private sectors; demonstrate a commitment to community well-being and the highest ethical standards and professional excellence; sustain a record of accomplishments and/or contributions to their field of work; and hold positions in their organizations that have an impact on revenues, profitability and/or the direction of the organization.

Fontana focuses her practice on transactions and debt restructurings of private equity finance and restructurings in financing leveraged buyouts.

Previous winners from Weil include Yvette Ostolaza, Sylvia Mayer and Melanie Gray. The award will be presented to Fontana and other statewide honorees on April 4 at the 9th Annual Texas Diversity and Leadership Conference in Dallas.
