January 8, 2019 Brooks Igo

Wright Close & Barger, a trial and appellate law boutique in Houston, has announced two partner promotions.

Brian Cathey represents petroleum, insurance and construction clients in complex litigation and appeals. He clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Texas Supreme Court and started his career in private practice at Cravath. In 2012, he achieved the highest score on the Texas Bar Exam.

Andrew Nelson’s trial and appellate experience includes serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation and contractual disputes. He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was valedictorian.
