(January 15) – Tulsa, Okla.-based Cypress Energy Partners, LP placed its $75 million initial public offering Tuesday, which marks the first MLP IPO of the year.
It also marks the first IPO of a water disposal and a pipeline integrity inspection services business.
Houston corporate partner Ryan J. Maierson of Latham & Watkins represented Cypress and Baker Botts served as counsel to Cypress’ underwriters for the offering.
The underwriters included Raymond James & Associates, Inc.; Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated; Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated; BMO Capital Markets, Inc.; Janney Montgomery Scott LLC; and Wunderlich Securities, Inc.
The Baker Botts team was predominantly Houston-based and included corporate partners Joshua Davidson and Hillary Holmes, finance partner Shalla Prichard, MLP tax counsel Chuck Campbell, finance associate Josephine Wu and Dallas-based corporate senior associate Dusty Gunderson.
The offering involved 3.75 million common units priced at $20 per unit and is expected to close on Jan. 21.
