Bracewell Partner Derrick Mitchell Elected Chairman of TSU Board of Regents

(Nov. 11) – Bracewell & Giuliani recently announced that Houston partner Derrick Mitchell has been elected chairman of the board of regents of Texas Southern University (TSU). Earlier this year, Mitchell was appointed to the board by Gov. Greg Abbott for a term expiring Feb. 1, 2021.

Mitchell, a University of Houston Law Center graduate, focuses his practice on public finance matters. He also sits on the board of directors for the Gulf Coast Rail District, Scenic Houston and the Greater Houston Partnership Relations Committee.
