Bradley Arant Boult Cummings announced Monday that Gene Besen has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner in its government enforcement and investigations practice group.
Besen, who was previously at Gray Reed, represents major pharmaceutical companies, hedge funds, health care providers, financial institutions and energy companies and their executives in connection with commercial litigation and regulatory enforcement investigations.
The SMU Dedman School of Law graduate has handled investigations involving allegations of billing fraud, kickbacks, securities fraud, insider trading, FCPA violations, pay-to-play schemes, antitrust violations and price fixing.
“Gene is a great addition to Bradley’s group of highly experienced attorneys with deep government knowledge and experience that helps our clients navigate business and enforcement challenges in highly regulated industries,” Dick Sayles, managing partner of Bradley’s 14-lawyer Dallas office, said in a statement.
