Matthew N. Hudnall and Allan S. Katz have joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings as partners in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, reinforcing its real estate development, finance, fund formation and joint venture capabilities.
Hudnall and Katz bring more than 20 years of collaborative experience representing developers, investors, and owners on complex real estate matters. Most recently, they served as shareholders in the Dallas office of Maynard Nexsen PC, where Hudnall also served as managing shareholder and helped develop the firm’s Dallas Presence since its launch in 2019.
“Matt and Allen are highly regarded real estate attorneys with significant experience in complex real estate developments, fund formations and investment management matters,” said Laura Hester, partner and chair of Bradley’s Real Estate Practice Group. “Their sophisticated practices and exceptional reputations in Dallas will be a strong complement to Bradley’s platform as we continue to expand our capabilities across Texas and nationally.”
Hudnall has more than three decades of experience in real estate law and is licensed to practice in Texas, focusing on complex transactions, joint ventures, financings, and the formation of real estate equity and debt investment funds. Hudnall, a Dallas native, earned both his JD and BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Katz advises clients on acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition matters and regularly handles large-scale land development projects, equity investments, joint ventures, and financing transactions. He earned both his JD and BA in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Bradley’s Dallas office has more than tripled in size since its opening in 2019 and now includes more than 60 attorneys with experience in litigation, healthcare, corporate, real estate, construction, energy and government enforcement. Overall, Bradley ranked No. 33 in the Texas Lawbook 50 in 2024 with 106 lawyers statewide, an 11.6 percent increase from the previous year. In terms of revenue generated by those Texas lawyers, Bradley ranked No. 45 in 2024 with $81.1 million, which was a 25 percent increase from the year prior.
