The Brink’s Company has added Dallas lawyer Maria Fernandez to its legal team.

Fernandez joins the global cash and valuables management, secure logistics, and security services company as vice president, associate general counsel, and assistant corporate secretary.

Brink’s Chief Legal Officer Kristen Cook announced the news on LinkedIn on Monday.

“Maria brings a wealth of expertise in corporate governance, M&A, finance, and securities that will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our legal and compliance functions globally. Her impressive background and leadership skills will be instrumental in navigating complex regulatory environments and driving best practices across our organization,” Cook said.

“Maria’s commitment to excellence and integrity aligns perfectly with our values. We are excited to partner with her to deliver outstanding legal support and ensure the highest standards of governance. Welcome aboard, Maria!”

Fernandez joins Brink’s from Albertsons, where she was senior counsel of corporate and securities and assistant corporate secretary. The SMU Dedman School of Law graduate also has worked in-house at Amneal Pharmaceuticals.
