After wrapping up a clerkship with Chief Judge Reed O’Connor of the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Texas, Tim Wells is returning to Brown Fox to help open the firm’s Fort Worth office.
Wells, who started his legal career at Brown Fox in 2022, is the fourth former federal law clerk at the 28-lawyer firm. He has also worked as a judicial intern for Judge Brantley Starr of the Northern District of Texas and Justice Robert J. Humphreys of the Virginia Court of Appeals, as well as a special litigation law clerk with the Texas Attorney General.
Brown Fox Managing Partner Russ Brown said Wells is “a class act, excellent business mind, and gifted lawyer.”
“Fort Worth has been on our minds for many years. Tim’s return gives us a chance to anchor the new office with a talented Tarrant County attorney, a member of the Fort Worth community, and a litigator fresh off working in the Northern District’s Fort Worth Division. We started this office authentically Fort Worth in character and makeup, and we intend to grow it that way, as well. We expect more lawyers to join us soon.”
Brown Fox moved into its new Dallas headquarters at The Quad in Uptown this summer. The firm also has a Frisco office. Brown points out the firm’s outposts are in the heart of three North Texas business hubs.
Prior to deciding to enter the legal profession, Wells co-owned and operated a large farm in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
