Dallas-based Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton recently opened a Baton Rouge, Louisiana office – the firm’s second outside of Texas – by recruiting a public finance attorney.
Previously at Nelson Mullins Broad and Cassell, Donald Cunningham, Jr. joins Shackelford as of counsel. He represents tax credit developers in the acquisition, construction and renovation of affordable housing projects and assists with bond, construction loan, soft loan and equity documentation.
Cunningham, the lone attorney in the new Baton Rouge office, has served as special bond counsel with public authority boards including the Louisiana Housing Corporation, Louisiana Public Service Commission, the Louisiana Community Development Authority and the Florida School Boards Association.
The firm also announced that the Dallas office has added an associate, Kara Hargrove, with affordable housing tax credit expertise. She was previously at Clayton, McKay & Bailey.
Shackelford now has seven offices firmwide.
