Norton Rose Fulbright announced Tuesday that Houston data privacy and cybersecurity lawyer Will Daugherty has joined the firm as a partner.
Daugherty was previously at BakerHostetler. He focuses his practice on risk mitigation, incident response and compliance.
“Cybersecurity issues are top of mind for businesses throughout the world, and these threats continue to grow,” he said in a statement. “Norton Rose Fulbright’ s global platform and large privacy and cybersecurity group will give my clients a fully-integrated, worldwide response to their data protection concerns.”
According to his LinkedIn bio, Daugherty has led organizations through hundreds of data security incidents. He has represented clients in investigations by the FTC, SEC, FINRA, US state attorneys general and EU supervisory authorities.
Daugherty started his career at Baker McKenzie, where he practiced for eight years. He then worked in-house for one year as a senior counsel at GameStop before joining BakerHostetler.
