DBA Seeks New Executive Director

(March 11) – The Dallas Bar Association announced Friday the qualifications and credentials they are seek in the association’s next executive director via an official job description on the DBA website.

The search follows the announcement last fall of longtime DBA Executive Director Cathy Maher’s retirement, which will take effect at the end of the year.

The executive director position primarily entails overseeing all operations and policies of the DBA. The director is appointed by the board reports directly to the DBA board and president.

The search committee for the new director, which is chaired by Dallas partner Kim Askew of K&L Gates, is looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of professional experience, preferably in the non-profit or legal sector, and a savvy knowledge in technology, managing large budgets, supervising staff, philosophical persuasions and the changing legal environment.
