By Brooks Igo – (September 15) – The Tarrant County Bar Association recently named Fort Worth-based Decker Jones shareholder Mathew Motes chair of its construction law section for 2014 to 2015.
The South Texas College of Law graduate represents general contractors, home builders, subcontractors, suppliers, developers and building owners across Texas in construction defect disputes, contract negotiations, mechanic’s lien claims and governmental compliance issues.
Motes assumes his leadership role after completing a term as vice chair of the section. He said in a statement he hopes to obtain sponsorships from expert vendors and attract more Tarrant County-based in-house counsel.
