Devon Energy Exits Eagle Ford in $4.2B Asset Sale to Crescent

Devon Energy announced Thursday that it has agreed to divest about 68 Mboe/d in Eagle Ford producing assets to Houston-based Crescent Energy for $4.2 billion.

Sale of the assets, which include more than 600 Tier 1 sites across about 90,000 acres in the South Texas counties of DeWitt, Gonzales and Karnes, signals Devon’s effective exit from the Eagle Ford to focus on the Permian Basin.
