Fluor Names South Carolina Lawyer as its New CLO

May 23, 2019 Mark Curriden

Irving-based Fluor Corporation has named its new chief legal officer to replace long-time CLO Carlos Hernandez, who was recently promoted to be the company’s chief executive officer.

The job went to John R. Reynolds, a lawyer in the company’s South Carolina operations. A company spokesperson said Reynolds, a University of Alabama School of Law graduate, will not relocate to Texas.

A 34-year veteran of Fluor, Reynolds has served the international construction company in several different positions. He most recently served as senior managing general counsel supporting Fluor’s energy, chemicals, infrastructure, mining, industrial services, construction, fabrication and procurement segments.

“John’s 30-plus years with Fluor and extensive experience across all of our markets will serve the company well,” Hernandez said in a written statement to The Texas Lawbook.
