Jackson Walker announced Wednesday that John Beckworth, the former associate dean for administration and strategic planning at the University of Texas School of Law, has joined the firm as of counsel in its Austin office.
Beckworth, who has also served as a trustee of the University of Texas Law School Foundation and as president and chairman of the Texas Exes board, will focus his practice on energy law and domestic and international arbitration.
Before entering academia at UT Law in 2013, Beckworth ran his own law practice in Houston handling civil cases and appeals. He started his career in 1983 at Fulbright & Jaworski.
