GT Grows Real Estate Capabilities in TX

February 23, 2024 Brooks Igo

Greenberg Traurig said Thursday it has bolstered its real estate practice in California and Texas by recruiting Paul M. Williams from Morgan Lewis.

Williams will work out of the firm’s Los Angeles and Austin offices. He advises clients on purchase and sale transactions related to Class A commercial and luxury residential properties, energy and industrial facilities, and agricultural holdings.

Some of the deals he has handled involve property on Rodeo Drive, in Napa and Sonoma Valley, and along the California and Texas coastlines.

Williams’ energy experience includes transactional work concerning oil and gas assets, renewables and lithium projects.

“Paul has been instrumental in supporting global power companies in their leasing and development matters related to an array of energy generation and storage facilities. There is a significant crossover between his energy sector-focused work and the firm’s Global Real Estate Practice, and we are excited for the synergies that his arrival brings to the team,” Michael J. Baum, co-chair of GT’s global real estate practice, said in a statement.

In other Texas-related hiring news for GT, Dallas office managing shareholder Joe Coniglio said on LinkedIn the office has expanded with four new associates: labor and employment attorney Zoe Grisz, corporate lawyer Ximena Lastra, and litigators Matthew Thomas and Charles Truslow.
