By Natalie Posgate – (October 1) – Denver-based WhiteWave Foods Company will now be able to appeal to more lactose-intolerant customers with its recent acquisition announcement of Oregon-based So Delicious Dairy Free for $195 million.
The acquisition will expand on WhiteWave’s nutritious, alternative foods business, which includes brands such as Silk, Horizon, International Delight and Land O Lakes.
Dallas partners Jan Sharry and John McGowan led the deal for WhiteWave and received assistance from Dallas associates Suzie Trigg, Brandon McCoy, Anthony Montague and Zach Burnett.
Last year, Sharry led another deal for WhiteWave when it acquired the organic food brand Earthbound Farm for $600 million.
Washington, D.C.-based Crowell & Moring and Los Angeles-based Loeb & Loeb represented So Delicious, which makes dairy-free milk, coffee creamers, ice cream and other products.
The deal is expected to close in the next few months.
