Husch Blackwell Environmental Lawyers Head to Spencer Fane

July 15, 2021 Brooks Igo

Spencer Fane announced two additions to its environmental group on Thursday, including Austin of counsel Carlota (Coty) Hopinks-Baul.

Hopinks-Baul is the Kansas City-based firm’s fifth lateral hire in Texas this year. She moved to Spencer Fane along with St. Louis partner Jason Flower, who previously chaired the environmental practice group at Husch Blackwell.

Prior to her nearly 14-year tenure at Husch Blackwell, Hopinks-Baul was the quality control coordinator for the Brownsville Public Utilities Board. She focuses her environmental and regulatory compliance practice on wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, air, waste and health and safety matters, and assesses risks associated with transactions.
