(June 20) – Dallas native and SMU Dedman School of Law graduate Derek Taylor has lateraled to Husch Blackwell, the firm announced this week.
Taylor, a banking and finance attorney, is based in Milwaukee and Madison, but he will also serve the Dallas office. A spokeswoman for the firm said he will work along the lawyers who recently joined Husch Blackwell from Gardere to build the financial services practice across the two regions.
Taylor represents financial institutions, real estate developers and investors in financial transactions including commercial loans, tax credit projects, commercial real estate acquisitions, refinances and dispositions.
In 2016, the Kansas City-based Husch Blackwell combined with Wisconsin law firm Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek.
